Adelaide Financial Planning Salary Guide - 2020

Below you will find attached Cadence Recruitment's Salary Guide for 2020.

Notable mentions

Client Services - It's becoming the new norm to expect $60-$65,000 + super with 3 years experience, and businesses are paying it. This doesn't reflect on my guide, but it's something I've noticed since resuming service. There is also a lot of movement in this space right now too.

Paraplanners - The biggest jump in salaries came in this category. A larger institution hired a number of technically strong Paraplanners last year, but they interviewed a lot of individuals. They were aggressive in their approach and now the expectation is rising to keep hold of technically gifted Paraplanners. A good paraplanner is hard to price as they add so much value to your business - make sure you can hold on to them!

Financial Planners - Salaries remain mostly the same in this area, but I can only recall a handful of conversations where a business didn't want an adviser to come across with an existing client base. I had a great conversation with a Director last week who said "I would never ask an adviser to poach his clients and bring them across to me, if they did this, they would do it to me, you need to look at how you'd feel on the other end".  Businesses can't rule out brilliant servicing advisers.
